Jade has been highly prized in the East for centuries and is known as the ultimate attractor of good luck and enduring friendship and as a symbol of purity and serenity. Wearing Jade maintains inner peace during difficult times and this stone signifies wisdom gathered in tranquillity. Jade is associated with the heart chakra and increases love and nurturing and brings harmony.  It is a protective stone, shielding from harm. Linking into universal abundance, Jade helps change attitudes to money issues, promoting valuing, and gratitude for, what you have, and finding inner rather than outer riches. Releasing ingrained core beliefs, Jade helps you be self-sufficient and recognise that you already have all need and to see yourself as a spiritual being on a human journey. Jade stabilizes the personality and integrates the mind with the body.  It releases negative thoughts, especially irritability, soothes the mind and promotes self-sufficiency. Forms: Jade is actually Jadeite or Nephrite. Jadeite has a soapy feel to it that takes a lustrous glassy polish and the slightly coarser, grainier Nephrite is used for carvings and tumble stones.

Caution: Jadeite contains toxic material and is best used tumbled. Wash hands after use and make essence by the indirect method only.
