Garnet – Almandine

Almandine Garnet is an iron aluminium silicate with a hardness of 7.5. Its name is derived from the town of Almandine in Asia Minor.

It is a stone of the ancient times, when people were intimately connected to the earth. It activates and strengthens the heart chakra and is excellent  for those who are a bit ungrounded or lack energy. It is also a stone of physical protection.
